Ginny
L. Kuebler Robert, the owner of GLK Management Consulting, has
been an entrepreneur and small business writer, trainer and
advisor for almost 20 years. She writes and publishes business
books, develops business plans and provides one-on-one
counseling to both start-up and existing business owners.
She specializes in designing
and delivering small business training programs for start-up
businesses. Since 1988, she has provided entrepreneurial programs
with one-on-one counseling to thousands of dislocated workers,
women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, economically
disadvantaged individuals, displaced homemakers and others
interested in self-employment. She has delivered these training
programs throughout New York State and Pennsylvania, with
a successful start-up rate of 49% - well above the national
average of 35%. The effectiveness of her programs is based
on a practical, well-organized training approach in conjunction
with individual counseling.
Currently, she is the Director
of the Entrepreneurial Assistance Program at Broome Community
College in Binghamton, New York. She offers one-on-one
counseling as well as a comprehensive 60-hour business
training program. Her workbooks, Let’s Write Your Business
Plan and Building Your Future in Self-Employment,
are the textbooks in this highly effective program.
In addition to her two
entrepreneurial workbooks, Ginny is the author of Taking
the Mystery Out of Global Trade (1991) and Broome
County: A Strategic Move (1986). She is actively involved
in economic development initiatives in the Southern Tier of
New York State.
In 2006, Ginny was recognized by the Small Business
Administration (SBA) as the “Women in Business Champion” for
the Syracuse, New York district
Also, from 2000-2005, Ginny assisted entrepreneurs as a
certified business advisor at the Small Business Development
Center (SBDC) in Binghamton, New York. In 2004, she was
recognized as one of the “Top 10 Business Advisors in New York
State.”
Ginny has 40 years of diverse small business management and
training experience. She holds an MBA from Binghamton
University and a bachelor’s degree in education from Bradley
University. Her areas of expertise include entrepreneurship,
business plans, marketing and finance.
A native of Chicago, Ginny has
lived in upstate New York since 1980. She enjoys traveling,
the beach, entertaining and interior decorating.
